MAGIX Music Manager 2006 is so well put together that it is an obvious "gimme" from a software company that produces other commercial products.

The interface, though not perfect, is nicely laid out. Positioning the primary song control interface at the bottom of the window is obviously the optimal placement when you've used the software.

The player has integrated visulizations, graphic equalizer, playlists, and a great integrated ID3 tag editor.

Another outstanding item is the players excellent library function. It works like a graphical tree saving space in your song display. It makes so much sense that I'm dumbfounded as to why the graphical user interface designer "geniuses" over at Apple haven't implemented something similar in their iTunes product.

I do have a couple of complaints, though:
Firstly, when the player plays a song it plays a little drop-out a couple of seconds into the song. It must be due to buffering because when the song is repeated no drop-out materializes. Playing with the buffer setting made no difference.
Secondly, the player is not particularly configurable as some players (like Foobar and J. River Media Center).
