I downloaded and installed AlphaWipe Tracks Cleaner 2006 on February 12th, 2008 intending to use it for the 30-day trial period. Having installed the product successfully, I commenced configuring it to meet my needs and the specification of my own PC and emphasise that I am not a novice when it comes to selecting the clean-up processes. There is no denying that I was certainly impressed by this product - initially.

Having completed the initial clean-up, I started a second clean-up later in the evening, only to find I was now required to purchase the product, before doing so. [I believed that I was downloading the fully functioning program for a 30-day trial period]. This process was successfully completed and I completed the necessary registration process.

However, after the completion of only the second clean-up, much to my complete and utter consternation the monitor on my PC went totally black and despite a reboot attempt, was to discover AlphaTracks Cleaner 2006 had completely corrupted and destroyed my entire Windows XP Media Center Operating System.

By now being less than impressed with this product, I wrote to support at AlphaWipe requesting a refund, under the terms of the 30-day money back guarantee. To date [21/02/08] I have not even received the courtesy of an acknowledgement of that request and now doubt, very much, that I will ever see a refund.

Put simply, steer clear! Do not touch this product with a barge-pole! I am still in the process of restoring my PC to its original state and would not want any other PC user to experience the same degree or level of corruption. I would hope that by submitting this reviewer, other potential downloaders/purchasers are forewarned.
